Part 2

Foods nice, if you like chicken, lamb, humus, pita and erm... lamb? They do the worlds best ever pizza too. There's also amazing shellfish and its dirt cheap, Kosher Jews cannot eat shellfish so a big crab or lobster costs less than a 16oz steak So i like it here. Although its too damn hot... its November i shouldnt be wearing a freaking tshirt and shorts! Although since you're from Arizona you're probably used to it.

And good luck in the hospital, you going to be working in the pharmacy I'm guessing?

This is my fourth tour in Israel this year actually. First time was actually just before valentines day.

I've done 2 tours working for an NGO down south near Sderot which is near Gaza being rocketed at with the occasional trip to Gaza being shot at and having jars of blood and poo thrown on me. (Dont ask) . Then i came back to the same place working security but that went a bit pear shaped so i was fired because the company got shut down. So i'm back now working a similar job in the town of Beit Shemesh just west of Jerusalem.

This place is pretty nice, its a lot like Switzerland I think because of all the winding hills that lead to Jerusalem. I've also never been so happy to live on a hill. There's been the worst rains in 20 years (I am the Rain Man! Woo) and the valley got flooded lucky for me!

At least you feel you're moving in a new direction which is key. Staying still for too long is just soul destroying.

Could be worse Nicole, you could be like me currently sat on your butt in Israel unable to work because of the rain. Not that i'm complaining much, i love this place, the food, the people and best of all did i mention the food?
